I am an entrepreneur, multiple business owner, real estate broker, attorney, speaker, wife, mother, step-mother, friend, and avid traveler…. So like YOU, I have a lot going on, and a lot I want to share of what I have learned in over 50 years on this planet. Despite having a fabulous education, almost everything I know that matters was taught to me by my brilliant, down-to-earth mom. I have often said, “If I die someday without sharing all of my mom’s tell-it-like-it-is wisdom… that would be a crime!” So let’s get started! We have a lot to talk about…

Entrepreneurship is in my DNA. Not in a corner office, venture capital kind of way. More like my dad was a welder who took the risk to go out on his own to better provide for us. My mom always wanted to work and make her own money. She sold Home Interiors at parties when I was young and paid me $5.00 if I would help her load and unload the car and assist her at the show. My hard scrabble upbringing combined with my law school education and real-world business ownership has put me in a unique place to inspire today’s entrepreneur. If you want this bad enough, you can do it!

Motivation is mindset. How can we NOT be motivated? We all get one shot at life. One “at bat.” One. How dare we waste a moment mired in negativity or useless blaming? I can lose myself in a Real Housewives marathon as easily as the next gal, but that’s okay. That’s when I’m being intentional about turning off my brain and rejuvenating. One goal of this blog…. no regrets on our death bed. Whatever we dream of doing, we START today!

I’ve lived over 50 years and, hard as I try, just can’t wrap everything I have to say up into 3 or 4 categories. Thus the ramblings category. Some of the stories I tell here may be highly emotional, useful, helpful, hopefully even funny. This is just the catch all category, which gives me a place to say something I feel is important that simply doesn’t fit into a neat package.

Boy, do I love to travel! I have been lucky enough to have traveled to nearly 50 countries and counting… because I prioritize it. We all have a certain number of dollars to spend, and for years now I have put a large number of mine toward travel. It shrinks our world, it rejuvenates our soul, it makes us love home even more. I love cruises. I love planning detailed, completely independent trips as well. Whether you are just dreaming of that big trip you’ll take someday or ready to start planning…. join me as we hit the roads, the seas and the friendly skies!
